We are proud to claim “White Hill” as part of McLaren Vale and South Australian pioneering history, having been farmed by the Oliver family since 1841.

Over the years it has been the venue for many and varied celebrations, indeed the first recorded wedding was held here on the 19th day of September 1877, between James Little and Ann Cameron- Oliver.

The rustic1850’s Chaff Shed atmosphere combines well with all styles of cuisines, which can be personalized to meet your particular taste, budget and style of function.

The Chaff Shed layout is intimate yet surprisingly accommodating.
Seating up to 70 guests comfortably in the main room, the Chaff Shed adjoins with the saddlery/tack room and Blacksmith's workshop which both serve as a bar area.
We are however licensed for up to 100 patrons for cocktail style celebrations on our extensive sweeping lawns and gardens.
For groups larger than this we are able to extend our license with outdoor settings, market umbrellas and additional porta-loos.
